Whataburger Case Study

Whataburger-Detail

Program Details

In July 2024, Whataburger sought to outfit managers at 860 locations with high-quality uniforms to bridge the gap until their new uniforms arrived in September 2025. Partnering with WB Supply & Merchandising, Cutter & Buck provided premium Polos with Whataburger embroidered logos on the left chest that were perfectly on brand.

Cutter & Buck took ownership of all aspects of the project including order administration of each of the drop ship orders to each manager and location and inventory management on schedule.  This collaboration showcases our capabilities  and commitment to add value to our customers as a brand and supplier.

Client Background

WB Supply & Merchandising is a trusted provider of branded merchandise solutions, specializing in outfitting businesses with high-quality, customized products. The end client, Whataburger, is an iconic American fast-food chain with 860 locations and a loyal customer base. Known for their exceptional service and brand consistency, Whataburger required a solution that aligned with their high standards.

TASK

Whataburger needed to outfit managers at 860 locations with high-quality branded polos as an interim uniform solution ahead of a full rollout in September 2025. With limited internal resources to manage complex order administration, WB Supply & Merchandising partnered with Cutter & Buck to handle product selection, inventory management, and direct shipments to individual locations—ensuring consistency and timely delivery across the board.

SOLUTION

Cutter & Buck provided premium polos embroidered with the Whataburger logo in matching colorways for men and women, including Big & Tall options. By taking full ownership of the order administration, Cutter & Buck reformatted complex data to streamline 860 unique drop shipments. Inventory was reserved in advance to ensure availability, and orders were manufactured, batched, and shipped within just 50 business days—meeting the strict October 31st deadline.

OUTCOME

Thousands of polos were successfully delivered on time to all 860 locations, with each site receiving the correct assortments based on manager count. Whataburger leadership praised the quality and execution, while Cutter & Buck continues to support late submissions, reinforcing a strong, long-term partnership. This project highlights Cutter & Buck’s ability to manage large-scale, time-sensitive uniform programs with precision and dedication.
